Home of the Underdogs Version
The version of Enemy Nations on the Home of the Underdogs is a cracked/warez version. In the course of hacking
the program, numerous bugs were introduced by the hacker. There is nothing we can do about this. And the
patch on this site will not fix that cracked version.
Patches
Please upgrade to the most recent version of Enemy Nations. In addition please upgrade to the most recent version of the Microsoft extensions.
The latest version of Microsoft's Winsock is critical for lag-free multi-player games.
Most Common Problem
About 90% of the bug reports/tech support messages we get are where Windows reports a GPF in MSS32.DLL or DSOUND.DLL. In either case, you
need to get the latest Direct Sound audio drivers from the manufacturer of your audio card. The problem is in their driver, not Enemy Nations
Tested Versions
Enemy Nations has been tested and works fine on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000. Enemy Nations also runs fine
on Windows 3.1 but can be difficult to configure.
Most Recent Version
The most recent version of Enemy Nations is 1.02.006. The version on the CDs is 1.01.019. There is no patch from other versions. If you have
an intermediate version, uninstall Enemy Nations, re-install the CD, and then run the patch. (This is done to minimize the size of the patch program.)
Download Enemy_Nations_Patch.exe and run the program. It will find and update all necessary files.
The patch is not needed for the demo version. The patch will not work on the version downloaded
from The Underdogs nor will it fix any other cracked or warez version. The patch edits the 1.01.019 .exe file
so it cannot fix any other version or cracked file.

Update the Sound Library
We also have some workarounds in the latest Miles Sound System driver. If you downloaded the above patch before October 17, 1999, please
download this additional patch. This is included in the Enemy Nations patch above and only needs to be downloaded if you installed the
patch to 1.02.006 before October 17, 1999.
